Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using the Service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old (the minimum age to sit for the NRPA CPSI exam), have read these Terms and our Privacy Policy, and agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

CPSI Exam Prep is an independent iOS study app for the Certified Playground Safety Inspector (CPSI) exam. The app provides practice questions, mock exams, flashcards, and reference tools to help you prepare for the NRPA CPSI certification exam.

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA), PSI Services, ASTM International, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), or any certification body. NRPA, CPSI, and related marks are trademarks of their respective owners.

3. No Guarantee of Exam Results

CPSI Exam Prep is a study aid only. Using the app does not guarantee that you will pass the NRPA CPSI exam or maintain certification. Exam content, passing scores, and policies are determined solely by NRPA and PSI. Always consult official NRPA materials and the CPSI Candidate Handbook for authoritative information.

4. Purchases & Pro License

CPSI Exam Prep Pro is a one-time, non-consumable purchase — not a subscription. Payment is processed by Apple through the App Store. All sales are subject to Apple's terms and refund policies.

Pro unlocks the full question bank (548 questions), timed 100-question mock exams, flashcards, wrong-answer review, and saved questions. Free users receive a limited sample of content.

You may restore purchases on a new device using the same Apple ID. Purchases are managed through RevenueCat and Apple's receipt validation.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Copy, redistribute, or resell app content, question banks, or explanations.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the question database.
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to misrepresent your CPSI certification status.
• Share your Pro purchase or Apple ID credentials with others to circumvent licensing.

6. Intellectual Property

All app content, question text, explanations, flashcards, software, and branding are owned by us or our licensors. These Terms grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use the app on Apple devices registered to your Apple ID.

Playground safety standards referenced in the app (ASTM F1487, CPSC Handbook) are published by their respective organizations and are cited for educational purposes.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that content perfectly matches every current exam question. Standards and exam formats may change; we update content periodically but cannot guarantee real-time alignment with NRPA materials.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CPSI Exam Prep shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost certification fees, lost wages, or exam failure — arising from your use of the Service.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time by deleting the app. Upon termination, your license to use the app ends, but provisions that by nature should survive (disclaimers, liability limits, intellectual property) will remain in effect.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised Terms on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
