This Privacy Policy describes how CPSI Exam Prep ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use the CPSI Exam Prep iOS app and cpsiexamprep.codemxm.com (together, the "Service"). We built CPSI Exam Prep as a privacy-first study tool — your practice data stays on your device.

1. CPSI Exam Prep App — What We Collect

The CPSI Exam Prep app is designed to work primarily offline. We do not require an account, and we do not operate a backend server that stores your study progress.

Data stored on your device

  • Study progress, practice scores, saved questions, and flashcard status (stored locally via SwiftData on your iPhone or iPad).
  • App preferences such as language selection and onboarding completion (stored in UserDefaults).
  • Pro purchase status (validated through Apple and RevenueCat when you choose to connect).

Data we do not collect in the app

  • We do not collect personal identifiers such as your name, email, or phone number through the app itself.
  • Third-party analytics and crash reporting are disabled (telemetryEnabled = false). No TelemetryDeck, Sentry, or similar SDKs send data from the app.
  • We do not track you across apps or websites (NSPrivacyTracking = false).

2. Purchases & Network Access

CPSI Exam Prep Pro is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase processed by Apple. When you purchase or restore, the app connects to RevenueCat and Apple's servers to validate your receipt. RevenueCat and Apple handle payment data according to their own privacy policies — we never see your credit card number.

The app asks for your consent before enabling network access for purchases. Until you allow it, the app operates fully offline with no network requests.

3. Feedback & Support Email

If you send feedback through the in-app email form, your message goes directly from your device to hi@codemxm.com via Apple's Mail framework or your default mail app. We may receive:

We use feedback only to improve the app and respond to your request. We do not sell feedback data.

4. Website (cpsiexamprep.codemxm.com)

When you visit our website, we may collect standard web server and analytics data:

Our website does not require login. If you contact us via email from the website feedback widget, we receive the information you choose to send.

5. Apple Required API Usage

The app accesses UserDefaults (reason CA92.1) to store your preferences and study settings on device. This data is not transmitted to us.

6. Children's Privacy

The CPSI certification exam requires candidates to be at least 18 years old. The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

App data lives on your device until you delete the app or reset your device. To remove all local study data, delete CPSI Exam Prep from your iPhone or iPad.

Emails you send us are retained only as long as needed to resolve your inquiry.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold from email correspondence. Contact us at hi@codemxm.com to exercise these rights.

9. Third-Party Services

The app and website may link to third-party services (Apple App Store, NRPA, PSI). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We are not responsible for third-party sites.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
